Project: Battery Management System (BMS) Modeling and State of Charge (SOC) Estimation with Motor Drive modeling in MATLAB

PART 1: Battery & BMS Systems

The objective of this project is to develop a comprehensive Battery Management System (BMS) model in MATLAB that includes the estimation of State of Charge (SOC) for a given battery pack. The BMS model should be capable of accurately tracking the SOC of the battery during charge and discharge cycles, considering the battery’s voltage, current, and capacity characteristics.

PART 2: Motor Design & Simulation

The goal of this project is to develop a comprehensive modeling and simulation report on one of the following motor types: Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), Brushless DC Motor (BLDC), Induction Motor (IM), or Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM). The project should demonstrate the understanding of mathematical modeling, dynamic simulation, and performance evaluation of the selected motor using MATLAB/Simulink or any other suitable simulation platform.
